    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">KLS Earthworks &amp; Environmental is seeking an<span> </span>experienced Field Surveyor to join our team, playing a critical role in supporting the success of our construction projects.<br><br>The<span> </span>Field Surveyor is responsible for performing<span> </span>surveying and layout services on active construction sites to support<span> </span>earthworks, underground, and site development projects. This role requires a combination of<span> </span>technical surveying expertise, equipment operation, and collaboration with project teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-conscious attitude, and the ability to work in diverse field conditions.<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Perform<span> </span>conventional and GPS surveys using a variety of survey equipment, including<span> </span>Topcon Total Stations (including<span> </span>Robotic Total Stations), <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Commercial UAV</span> and<span> </span>advanced GNSS receivers.</span><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\"><span> </span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Conduct<span> </span>topographic, construction layout, as-built, and volumetric surveys.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Complete<span> </span>machine control support, including GNSS dozer calibration, troubleshooting, and data transfer.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Collect and manage accurate survey data, ensuring<span> </span>quality control and accuracy in all field measurements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Provide<span> </span>stakeout and layout services for grading, excavation, and underground utilities installations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: red; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Reporting to the Survey Manager and</span><span> </span></span><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">working closely with<span> </span>project managers, foremen, equipment operators, and other site personnel to ensure<span> </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">layout</span><span style=\"color: red; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\"><span> </span></span><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">work aligns with project requirements and design plans</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Maintain accurate field notes and records, and assist in preparing<span> </span>survey reports.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Adhere to<span> </span>KLS safety policies and actively participate in<span> </span>site safety meetings and<span> </span>hazard assessments.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Work safely in all weather conditions and terrains, ensuring<span> </span>effective communication with the site team to maintain a safe work environment.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Qualifications &amp; Experience</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Minimum<span> </span>2 years of field surveying experience in<span> </span>civil construction, earthworks, or environmental projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Experience working with<span> </span>Topcon Total Stations (including<span> </span>Robotic Total Station) and<span> </span>advanced GNSS receivers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Canadian Civil</span> and<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Commercial UAV License</span> considered an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Proficient with<span> </span>3D-MC2 and machine control systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Experience with<span> </span>GNSS dozer calibration and troubleshooting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Strong<span> </span>data collection and management skills using survey software and data controllers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Proven experience working in<span> </span>varied terrain and weather conditions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: inherit\">Safety-focused with the ability to effectively communicate<span> </span>hazards, layouts, and plans to site teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit;
