This position requires strong technical acumen, hands‑on engineering experience, and the ability to translate customer and manufacturing needs into reliable, cost‑effective product solutions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of transformer design principles, proficiency in 2D/3D design tools, and a passion for driving innovation in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This role will be onsite in Athens, GA. Relocation Assistance is available.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead engineering design efforts for distribution transformers across multiple product lines, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and alignment with customer requirements.</li>\n <li>Drive product optimization and cost‑reduction initiatives, improving profitability while maintaining quality and reliability.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Sales and Customer Support to interpret order requirements and accurately load bills of materials into the ERP system.</li>\n <li>Partner with Supply Chain and external vendors to review material specifications, implement material or design changes, and support consolidation and cost‑reduction projects.</li>\n <li>Support cross‑functional teams by providing technical guidance, resolving design challenges, and contributing to continuous improvement activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or closely related discipline, plus 5+ years of transformer design experience is ideal.</li>\n <li>OR in lieu of a degree: 15+ years of proven experience in transformer design, manufacturing, testing, and/or field service.</li>\n <li>Minimum 5 years of experience with AutoCAD 2D or equivalent drafting software.</li>\n <li>Minimum 3 years of experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or comparable 3D modeling software.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career!</strong></p>\n<h2>Job Locations</h2>US-GA-Athens",
