    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Dewberry</strong> is currently seeking a <strong>Water / Wastewater Senior Project Engineer </strong>to work with our team of pipeline and conveyance engineers focused on our western geography from Denver to California. The ideal candidate will have technical, managerial, and market access responsibilities to lead the execution of project work and implement business strategy to develop new client work and maintain existing client relationships. The Candidate will develop and leverage relationships to position Dewberry to perform water/wastewater projects in Colorado and throughout the western United States. The candidate will manage, support and execute a range of civil engineering water and wastewater projects for public sector utility clients and will support and/or supervise growing water department project management, engineering and technical staff operations. The insurance package includes: medical, dental, vision, and supplemental life. Additional insurances, at no cost to the employee: life (employee only), accidental death and dismemberment, business travel and accident, and short- and long-term disability are also provided. Both vary based on level within the program and bonuses are dependent upon company performance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition, a host of discounted purchase programs are available to all employees.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Applies thorough knowledge and expertise of current principles and practices of engineering acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or project challenges.</li>\n <li>Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the water business and recommends new practices or changes to internal programs.</li>\n <li>Supervises a growing staff of engineers and technicians.</li>\n <li>Plans, schedules, coordinates and performs the preparation of engineering assessments, preliminary designs, and the preparation of design documents and activities for multiple projects, or is responsible for an entire program.</li>\n <li>Develops statement of qualifications, detailed proposals, project execution plans, and contracts to include project understanding, scope of work, project approaches, pricing, schedule, terms and conditions, and performs contract negotiations.</li>\n <li>Implements quality management program on project assignments. Verifies that quality processes and procedures are followed. </li>\n <li>Oversees project management and delivery to conform with project scope, budget, and schedule.</li>\n <li>Reviews operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable company policies and performance measures.</li>\n <li>Increases Dewberry’s visibility in the public sector water business through active participation in national, state and local professional and community organizations.</li>\n <li>Participates in personnel decisions and manages personnel.</li>\n <li>Works in team environment to leverage assets of the business unit and the Water Service Line to position, win, execute and deliver work.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering field; Master’s Degree in Engineering is a plus.</li>\n <li>Colorado/California Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain.</li>\n <li>10+ years’ consulting experience, with increasing levels of project and client responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects.</li>\n <li>10+ years of project and client management experience.</li>\n <li>A recognized area of technical expertise is a plus.</li>\n <li>A successful track record of managing projects scope, schedule and budget compliance.</li>\n <li>Proven experience with the planning, design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure facilities.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong client management and business development skills.</li>\n <li>Strong leadership qualities and ability to coach and mentor staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>This posting is anticipated to close on June 8th 2026.</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Don’t meet every single requirement?
