But that's not who we're looking for.</p>\n<p>We're looking for the person who fixes the leaky faucet - <em>and tightens the wobbly cabinet handle while they're at it.</em> The person who doesn't shrug and say \"I don't know\" - they say <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">\"let me figure this out.\"</span></p>\n<p>Smartland is hiring a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Senior Maintenance Technician</span> who genuinely loves solving problems, takes real pride in their work, and treats every unit like it's their own home.</p>\n<p>If you get a little fired up when something's broken and you can't walk away until it's right - keep reading.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">This Role Is for You If...</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>You've got <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">3+ years of hands-on residential or multifamily maintenance experience</span> - enough to be dangerous with a wrench, but you're still hungry to learn more</li>\n<li>You <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">think outside the box</span> when the parts store is closed and a tenant's heat is out - you find a way, safely, and follow up in the morning</li>\n<li>You take pride in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">doing it right the first time</span> - cutting corners makes you cringe</li>\n<li>You don't need someone looking over your shoulder - hand you a work order list and you'll prioritize, execute, and document it without being asked</li>\n<li>You treat tenants with respect - you knock, you introduce yourself, you explain what you're doing, and you <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">clean up when you're done</span></li>\n<li>You want to actually <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">build a career</span>, not just collect a paycheck</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">This Role Is NOT for You If...</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>You do the bare minimum and call it a day</li>\n<li>You disappear when the on-call phone rings</li>\n<li>You need to be told twice</li>\n<li>You think \"that's not my job\" when something needs doing</li>\n<li>You leave a mess behind or treat a tenant's home like a job site</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">What You'll Actually Do</span></p>\n<p>You'll be the person tenants are relieved to see at their door. You'll handle a wide range of work across our portfolio of homes and apartments - no two days look the same, and that's the point.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Day to day, you'll:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tackle service requests and emergency repairs - plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, you name it</li>\n<li>Complete unit turns on time and up to Smartland standards - patch, paint, repair, and get units rent-ready fast</li>\n<li>Perform inspections and preventive maintenance so small problems don't become big ones</li>\n<li>Assist with exterior repairs and maintenance as needed <em>(candidates with exterior experience — we'd especially love to hear from you)</em></li>\n<li>Document your work in AppFolio - notes, photos, parts used - because good communication matters as much as good hands</li>\n<li>Support junior techs who are learning the ropes and coordinate with vendors when specialty work is needed</li>\n<li>Communicate professionally and warmly with residents and staff - you're the face of our maintenance team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">What You Bring</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">3+ years</span> in residential or multifamily maintenance</li>\n<li>Solid troubleshooting skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry - you don't have to be a master in all of them, but you're not afraid of any of them</li>\n<li>Exterior maintenance experience is a big plus</li>\n<li>A valid driver's license with a clean record</li>\n<li>Your own basic tools and comfort using mobile apps for work orders</li>\n<li>The ability to lift 75 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in Northeast Ohio weather</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">A positive attitude that tenants and teammates actually want to be around</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">What You Get</span></p>\n<p>This isn't a dead-end gig.
