    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Title</strong>: Heavy Haul Equipment Transport Driver</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong>: The transport driver is primarily responsible to transport heavy equipment across the valley. </p>\n<p>________________________________________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>LOCATIONS</strong>: Various Construction sites throughout Arizona. *Some out of state travel required*</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>________________________________________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operates, loads, and unloading of oversized and/or overweight equipment and ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded, and secured before the vehicle proceeds to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while in route; perform a thorough pre- and post-check to inspect the load and truck before and after each stop</li>\n <li>Ability to read and review permit for route, special considerations, and safety provisions</li>\n <li>prepare before and stow away after each trip the vehicle, trailer, and all auxiliary equipment such as chains , straps, blocks, and gears</li>\n <li>Comply with all DOT, state, and local traffic and highway laws, rules and regulations and safely operate all equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits</li>\n <li>Take pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediately</li>\n <li>Ensure all items transported are on the manifest are accurate and error free</li>\n <li>Performs general maintenance, minor repairs, and regular service on mobile equipment and equipment daily as directed by supervisor</li>\n <li>Mechanical and hydraulic trailer experience as well as skills to perform minor maintenance on equipment as required</li>\n <li>Safety, Safety, Safety comply with all DOT and company policies, procedures, and standards of safety</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p>_________________________________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Education and/or Experience</u></strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years old</li>\n <li>Valid Class A CDL with Doubles/Triples, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements or the ability to obtain endorsements is required</li>\n <li>Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate is required</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge and understanding of all oversized/overweight hauling rules and regulations on federal, state, county, and city jurisdictions is required</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is required</li>\n <li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required</li>\n <li>Acceptable MVR in accordance with Blount Company Vehicle Program policy is required</li>\n <li>Overnight travel will be required</li>\n <li>Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat in excess of 100 degrees, cold, and rain</li>\n <li>Basic Computer Skills Required (Email, Smart Phone, Excel)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Demands: </u></strong>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. <u></u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required</li>\n <li>Acceptable MVR in accordance with Blount Vehicle Program policy is required</li>\n <li>Overnight travel will be required</li>\n <li>Ability to complete work task under various adverse weather conditions including heat in excess of 100 degrees, cold, and rain</li>\n</ul>\n<p>________________________________________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Individual Development (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)</u></strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to operate heavy equipment safely</li>\n <li>Attention and commitment to safety</li>\n <li>Ability to work well with others in a team environment</li>\n <li>Ability to follow instructions</li>\n <li>Ability to work long hours</li>\n <li>Ability to move at least 50 pounds</li>\n <li>Knowledge of DOT compliance</li>\n</ul>\n<p>________________________________________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>As part of our hiring process, all candidates are subject to a comprehensive background check.
