Exhibits good judgment, and the ability to create an inclusive environment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This job announcement is not intended to be inclusive of all functions, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, however, representative of the essential job functions and typical criteria considered necessary to successfully perform the position.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Plans and implements program in accordance with the goals and policies of the YMCA.</li>\n <li>Coordinates activities, which fit the children’s developmental needs.</li>\n <li>Provides leadership for staff overseeing the activities of several groups of children.</li>\n <li>Supervises a group of children to ensure their health and safety, and to provide for a positive experience for each child.</li>\n <li>Communicates with and maintains positive relationships with families. May conduct conferences.</li>\n <li>Provides day-to-day leadership to staff and volunteers.</li>\n <li>Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergency procedures.</li>\n <li>Provides assistance to supervisor and may fill-in during temporary absences.</li>\n <li>Maintains ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, cleanliness, and learning environment of site.</li>\n <li>Attends staff meetings and trainings as required.</li>\n <li>Assists in recruitment of members for the Parent Advisory Group.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate the \"Character Counts\" values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in all your dealings with members, guests, volunteers and fellow staff.</li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>18 years of age or older. </li>\n <li>Current state approved first-aid certification. *</li>\n <li>Current state approved community CPR certification. *</li>\n <li>TB test by the Manitou method. **</li>\n <li>Immunization Records which must include, DTAP, MMR FIV shot or Waiver and TB</li>\n <li>School-Age programs: 12 credits in elementary education, or the educational equivalent, in courses such as recreation, physical education, education, music, art, psychology or social services.</li>\n <li>Experience in working with children the same age as those to be supervised.</li>\n <li>One year of experience or more in program planning preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate practices. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive compensation</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision for full-time employees - 60% YMCA covered medical benefits for full-time employees and their families</li>\n <li>Retirement benefits – 10% employer contribution after completion of eligibility requirements</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program for all employees that is available to help employees overcome emotional, family, or other personal problems; offers guidance on financial and legal issues; improves health and wellness, and much more. </li>\n <li>CPR/First Aid Certification provided by YMCA</li>\n <li>Use of YMCA of Superior California Fitness facilities, camps, and rental facilities</li>\n <li>Paid time off benefits for part-time and full-time employees upon completion of eligibility requirements</li>\n <li>Training and staff development for all employees</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Posted Salary Range</h2>USD $17.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.",
