We&#39;re looking for a driven, community-minded <strong>Marketing Consultant</strong> to join our team and help deliver results that matter.</p><p>The <strong>Marketing Consultant</strong> will work closely with local businesses and organizations to craft customized marketing campaigns using our radio, digital, and event-based platforms. This client-facing sales role is ideal for a motivated self-starter who is passionate about local business and thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.</p><p>This position offers the unique opportunity to acquire and manage an established account list, providing a solid foundation for success from day one.</p><p>You&rsquo;ll work closely with both new and existing clients to develop customized marketing campaigns using our radio, digital and event-based platforms.</p><p>This position is in our St. Joseph, MO market with stations KFEQ(AM), KKJO, KSJQ, KESJ(AM), KYSJ-AM and KBCT, as well as our leading online news platform St. Joseph Post and Maryville Post.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Manage and grow an established portfolio of clients while prospecting for new business through networking, cold calling, community events and referrals.</li><li>Collaborate with local businesses to renew and expand current campaigns.</li><li>Sell across a full suite of marketing solutions, including radio advertising, digital display, streaming audio, social media promotions, sponsorships, and live events.</li><li>Meet with clients in person and on-site to understand their goals and develop tailored marketing strategies.</li><li>Prepare and present professional proposals and marketing plans.</li><li>Keep detailed records of client interactions and sales activity.</li><li>Stay engaged with the local community to identify trends and opportunities.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>2+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in advertising, media, or marketing.</li><li>Deep knowledge or a strong connection to the St. Joseph community and surrounding areas.</li><li>Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.</li><li>Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a proven ability to close sales.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel locally.</li></ul><p><strong>Salary:</strong></p><p>Compensation is commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid vacation and ESOP (employee stock ownership plan).</p><p><strong>Other information:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
