By amplifying survivors' experiences, Tahirih’s mission is to create a world in which all people share equal rights and live in safety and with dignity. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary: </strong>The Tahirih Justice Center is seeking a full-time Bahá’í Service Fellow passionate for advocating and supporting survivors of intimate partner violence, trafficking, and sexual assault to begin in summer 2026 and serve for one year. Fellows engage in work to support Tahirih’s mission in legal services and social services. The fellow <u>must</u> live within commuting distance of our Falls Church, VA office or be willing to relocate to the area.</p><p><br></p><p>Tahirih’s Bahá’í Service Fellowships were created to enable Fellows to engage in one year of service to humanity and learn from the work of a well-established, Bahá’í-inspired, non-profit organization. The fellows who serve in these positions help advance the organization’s mission through meaningful professional work to achieve justice while also being of service in cooperation with the local Bahá’í community through outreach and engagement (up to 8 hours per week).</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><p>This position will be supervised by the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement and will help to grow our work and partnerships with law firms and corporations who provide pro bono support.</p><ul><li>Work with the pro bono attorneys to coordinate and implement virtual or in-person brief advice and referral immigration legal clinics including logistical planning, pro bono volunteer recruitment, and training.</li><li>Shape and research client policies and best practices leveraging the expertise of tech companies specifically regarding the use of remote tools for virtual legal clinics organization-wide and discussing and implementing technological safety precautions</li><li>Build a database of client-centered and linguistically accessible educational videos’ and create a complimentary resource list for language access to create a pool of interpreters, for virtual legal clinics</li><li>Provide regular updates on current status of project as needed; and</li><li>Assist with updating case opportunities on various platforms , monthly newsletters and resource building for the pro bono e-library.</li></ul><p>The fellows will also perform service in cooperation with the local Bahá’í community in which they are living for the duration of the fellowship for up to eight hours per week.
