The successful candidate will have expertise in advising companies on federal and state employment laws, litigation and mediation experience, and drafting of employment related agreements, policies and handbooks.</p><p><br/></p><p>Requirements</p><p>  Primary Roles and Responsibilities</p><p>•\tProvide legal advice and representation to the Company on employment law issues.</p><p>•\tDraft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and handbooks.</p><p>•\tAdvise the Company on compliance with state and federal employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.</p><p>•\tRepresent the Company in administrative hearings and court proceedings.</p><p>•\tConduct HR due diligence for potential acquisitions.</p><p>•\tConduct investigations into allegations of workplace misconduct and make recommendations for resolution.</p><p>Experience and Education</p><p>•\tJuris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.</p><p>•\tMember in good standing of the Ohio Bar or ability to become a member of the Ohio Bar within a reasonable period.</p><p>•\t5-7 years of employment law experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel.</p><p>•\tExpertise with state and federal labor laws.</p><p>•\tStrong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.</p><p>•\tAbility to manage multiple issues, cases and deadlines simultaneously.</p><p>•\tAttention to detail and strong analytical skills.</p><p>•\tProficiency in legal research tools and software.</p><p>•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.</p><p>•\tAbility to develop and implement effective procedures and improvements.</p><p>•\tAbility to meet deadlines and report progress or concerns to the CLO in a timely manner.</p><p>•\tExcellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently as well as in teams, sound legal judgment and strong work ethic required.</p><p>•\tSome travel required for the position.</p><p>•\tSafety and OSHA experience a plus.</p><p>Physical Demands/Working Conditions</p><p><br/></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
