This role is essential to the successful execution of live broadcasts, ensuring all technical systems—including video, audio, and transmission—are configured, tested, and operating at peak performance. The ideal candidate has a deep technical understanding of live multi-camera workflows and thrives in high-pressure, live-to-air environments.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">POSITION DETAILS</span><br>Job Title: Production Technician – New York City<br>Department: Technical Operations<br>Reports To: Chief Engineer<br>Location: New York, NY<br>Work Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office, 5 Days per Week<br>Travel: Occasional travel for remote productions and site surveys<br>Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CORE RESPONSIBILITIES</span><br></p>\n<p>The Production Technician will be responsible for the technical integrity of our New York facility and field productions:</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><br></span></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Equipment &amp; Facility Management</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Manage and </span><span>maintain</span><span> BMG’s production equipment in the New York office</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintain </span><span>an accurate</span><span> inventory of all company production equipment at the New York office</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Production &amp; Technical Operations</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work as a Utility, Production Assistant, and Production Technician on assigned productions</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work as a Prompter, Video Playback, Graphics, and Virtual Set Operator</span><span> on assigned projects</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work out of BMG’s Hell’s Kitchen location primarily, but at the NYSE location on Fridays and</span><span> other days</span><span> as needed</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Manage security at BMG’s Hell’s Kitchen location as it relates to staff, freelancers, and the building, controlling access to the BMG space</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Support client and technical teams on live remote productions</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Conduct site visits for assigned productions</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Will be the primary contact with building management</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>REQUIREMENTS</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience working as a Production Technician, Production Assistant, and/or Utility on remote production projects</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>NICE TO HAVE</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Project management skills</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Adobe Graphics and Editing Software (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, or similar)</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience working in an audio/video rental house or broadcast equipment facility</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHY JOIN BMG?</span><br>Join a team at the forefront of broadcast innovation in the heart of New York City.
