Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, who is a seasoned leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing cloud services within an organization. This role blends deep technical knowledge with strategic management skills to ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of complex technical environments. The Senior Technical Manager drives technical excellence, leads cross-functional teams, and collaborates with stakeholders to align technical with broader business objectives. The Senior Technical Manager will operate with autonomy, managing teams and projects while ensuring seamless technical support, infrastructure reliability, and continuous improvement. They focus on process optimization, resource management, incident response, and vendor coordination to maintain high availability and efficiency. This opportunity will support the modernization of a large-scale multi-tenant cloud ecosystem, providing critical enterprise-wide support for more than 40 million users in a complex stakeholder environment. This position requires senior level leadership skills combined with modern cloud and industry leading technical capabilities including product development, strict security compliance, latest technology cloud solutions, reliable application delivery with SaaS and Artificial Intelligence integrations and rapid continuous delivery. Core Responsibilities Technical Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to enhance cloud services, focusing on infrastructure stability, performance, and scalability. Align cloud services technical goals with business priorities and emerging technologies. Team and Resource Management: Lead, mentor, and manage technical teams, ensuring clear roles, accountability, and professional development. Oversee resource allocation, recruitment, and performance management. Process Optimization: Establish and refine procedures, including incident management, change control, and service monitoring. Drive automation and DevOps practices to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate support, resolve technical issues, and implement system upgrades. Ensure compliance with SLAs and contractual obligations. Incident and Risk Management: Lead root cause analysis, risk assessments, and mitigation plans for technical incidents. Foster a culture of continuous improvement to minimize risks. Leadership and Collaboration Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, finance, and support teams to ensure integrated cloud services and aligned objectives. Advocate for cloud services needs and improvements. Change Management: Guide teams through technology changes, deployments, and upgrades with effective communication and stakeholder engagement. Ensure minimal service disruption during deployments. Performance Reporting: Develop and present cloud services metrics, dashboards, and reports to senior leadership. Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and prioritize initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation, feedback, and best practices in cloud services. Lead efforts for training, knowledge sharing, and process standardization. **Position could support /work across multiple enterprise- wide efforts within Peraton.** Qualifications Key Skills and Qualifications: 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. Strong leadership experience (7+ years) in cloud services infrastructure or related roles with a proven ability to manage teams and cross vendor collaboration. In-depth knowledge of modern IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, DevOps methodologies, and automation tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address challenges and optimize processes. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across diverse technical and business teams. Experience with vendor management, service level agreements, and contract negotiations. Ability to lead incident response, risk management, and change management initiatives.
