Our commitment to get it right every time, everywhere, makes us the trusted partner of businesses and organizations worldwide.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are hiring a Senior Security Engineer to lead technical initiatives across endpoint security, network security, web application security, email security, SIEM/log ingest, and security architecture. This role is a hands-on engineering position responsible for designing, implementing, and improving security controls at scale.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Senior Security Engineer serves as a technical escalation point within Security Engineering, partners closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, IT, and SOC teams, and helps drive the maturity of HireRight’s security posture through practical, well-engineered solutions.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the design and implementation of enterprise endpoint, network, and cloud security controls</li>\n <li>Own and evolve HireRight’s email security posture, including phishing defenses, impersonation protections, secure configuration, and email-based DLP</li>\n <li>Provide security consultation to Technology and business teams on secure integrations, data flows, and handling of sensitive data</li>\n <li>Define and maintain SIEM and log ingestion standards, ensuring high-quality, actionable telemetry for detection and response teams</li>\n <li>Engineer configuration baselines and security hardening standards across operating systems, servers, endpoints, and user platforms</li>\n <li>Provide technical mentorship to security engineers and contribute to long-term program maturity</li>\n <li>Produce and maintain clear documentation and audit-ready artifacts for security controls and configurations</li>\n <li>Partner with security leadership on roadmap planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, or related technical roles</li>\n <li>Strong hands-on experience with endpoint security, network security, and system hardening</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of SIEM architecture, log ingestion pipelines, normalization, and detection workflows</li>\n <li>Experience with enterprise security technologies such as WAF, secure web gateways/proxies, email security platforms, and encryption mechanisms.</li>\n <li>Experience collaborating with Infrastructure, Cloud, IT, and SOC teams in a production environment</li>\n <li>Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)</li>\n <li>Experience leading security initiatives or cross-team engineering efforts</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of detection engineering and security telemetry</li>\n <li>Excellent technical documentation and communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to identify control gaps, propose scalable solutions, and drive execution</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What do we offer</h2>\n<p>HireRight offers a competitive benefit package which includes:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical</li>\n <li>Dental</li>\n <li>Vision</li>\n <li>Paid Life/AD&D Insurance</li>\n <li>Voluntary Life Insurance</li>\n <li>Short & Long Term Disability</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li>401K</li>\n <li>Generous Vacation and Sick Program</li>\n <li>10 Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Education Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Business Casual Attire</li>\n <li>Generous Referral Program</li>\n <li>Employee Discounts and Rewards</li>\n <li>And much more!</li>\n <li>All resumes are held in confidence.
