Description The Maine Business School (AACSB Accredited) at the University of Maine seeks applicants for a teaching faculty position at the rank of Lecturer, with an anticipated start date of August 31, 2026. This will be a full-time, academic year, ongoing appointment based in Orono, Maine, and is renewable annually based on satisfactory performance. This position will support teaching needs of the Maine Business School in courses related to Strategic Business Logistics, Analytics, and Supply Chain. The preferred candidate will have professional experience in supply chain or logistics. Primary teaching interests related to business logistics and analytics with a secondary interest in supply chain management are preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to be an effective and engaging teacher, to make a strong commitment to the development and delivery of innovative curricula, to collaborate with the College and colleagues to increase student success, and to advise and mentor undergraduates and graduates in pursuit of their academic and professional goals. The typical teaching load is four (4) courses per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level, with the option to reduce this to three courses per term when engaged in significant service to the College. The candidate will be expected to participate in maintenance of AACSB accreditation. Service to the College, University, and in the Community is expected. PMP (Project Management Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) certification. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, and Agile/Scrum frameworks. Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval, Excel (advanced modeling/VBA), and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Documented participation in activities promoting inclusive excellence.
