    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Reporting to the Director of Clinical Practice and supported by the Assistant Professor for Clinical Practice, the Clinical Supervisor is a part-time, university-based, clinical supervision coach who supports and provides ongoing professional development for P-12 clinical faculty. The Clinical Supervisor works collaboratively with P-12 mentor and future educator to ensure high-quality educator preparation aligned with state and national bests practices. Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor is committed to actions aligned with the Touro values.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Contribute to high-quality and successful clinical supervision for future educators and P-12 mentors.</li>\n <li>Work with school administrators to identify, co-select, and supervise school-based mentors.</li>\n <li>Facilitate P-12 mentor development sessions in a professional learning community model.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with P-12 with mentors to participate in structured Pre-Observation, Observation, Post-Observation (POP) cycles utilizing Touro GSE established assessment instruments.</li>\n <li>Assist P-12 mentors with the coordination of regular seminars to advance future educators' pedagogical skills.</li>\n <li>Conference with P-12 mentors and future educators at various points during clinical experience to discuss progress, establish ongoing development goals, and calibrate summative performance ratings.</li>\n <li>Support P-12 mentors with the collection and analysis of performance data related to clinical practice.</li>\n <li>Conduct observations of and provide feedback to P-12 mentors during clinical practice to support mentor's effectiveness.</li>\n <li>Serve as the university's faculty of record for student teaching/practicum coursework.</li>\n <li>Engage in Touro GSE scholarly activities and support accreditation and assessment activities related to clinical practice.</li>\n <li>Uphold the values and missions of Touro and the GSE.</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4>Education/Experience</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's Degree in Education or related field; Doctoral Degree desired</li>\n <li>Successful P-12 classroom teaching experience working with diverse students three or more years</li>\n <li>Successful experience in assessment and data use at the classroom or academic unit level</li>\n <li>Experience in course or program design</li>\n <li>Strong expertise in urban education</li>\n <li>Teacher Certification in one or more GSE academic programs</li>\n <li>Professional experience with English as a second language (ESL/TESOL) Math, Science, Spanish, Special Education, Special Education</li>\n <li>Successful college-level teaching experience face-to-face and online (course evaluations to be submitted) desired Experience with District 75 (moderate to severe settings) desired</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Evidence of prior effective clinical supervision</li>\n <li>Commitment to culturally responsive and sustaining education/pedagogy</li>\n <li>Knowledge of instructional strategies across the core disciplines (Literacy, Mathematics, Social Studies/History, Science)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with the Danielson Framework for Teaching or other Performance Assessment frameworks.</li>\n <li>Ability to give direct, clear, and concise feedback aimed at improving teacher performance.</li>\n <li>Ability to model and coach instructional practices assessment protocols, student work analysis, and knowledge of curriculum.</li>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong time management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, handle changing priorities, and meeting deadlines.</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and constituents.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and application of adult learning theory (andragogy).</li>\n <li>Ability to coach and be coached· Ability to model professionalism</li>\n <li>Ability to balance flexibility while maintaining a high-quality clinical program</li>\n <li>Excellent time management skills· Highly self-motivated</li>\n <li>Extensive experience with Microsoft Office programs specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.</li>\n <li>Experience using web-conferencing tools and learning management systems such as Canvas, Zoom, Go React, Mursion, and/or Sim School.Experience with data collection tools such as Survey Monkey and Qualtrics</li>\n <li>Strong technology skills such as familiarity with online data entry systems, learning management systems (Blackboard, CANVAS), and email.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Travel</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Field supervisors will travel to schools in the New York City metropolitan region and other locales to visit future educators and P-12 mentors at their respective clinical placements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Working Conditions</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to lift up to 5 lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $500.00/Student\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $400.00/Student",
