WSP works closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment.</p><p style=\"tab-stops:.5in 1.0in 1.5in 2.0in 2.5in 3.0in 3.5in 4.0in 4.25in 4.5in 5.5in 6.0in;\">About the Job:</p><p>Our staff work on high-quality, high-profile, local, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the complete project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. WSP offers excellent growth opportunities. Our Engineers are subject matter experts who can effectively communicate and coordinate technical topics with owners, architects, other engineers, contractors and vendors.</p><h2>Your Impact</h2><p style=\"tab-stops:.5in 1.0in 1.5in 2.0in 2.5in 3.0in 3.5in 4.0in 4.25in 4.5in 5.5in 6.0in;\">Responsibilities Include:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;padding-left:24px;\"><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Provide designs for Telecommunications systems (Structured cabling systems, Telecom spaces and pathway infrastructure) and Electronic Safety &amp; Security systems (IP video surveillance, access control, intercom), Audiovisual and school bell/intercom systems, and code required communications systems.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Coordinate with clients to gather and document system and design requirements.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Create design narratives and coordinated, construction documents (Drawings and CSI Specifications).</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Budget fee responsibility on assigned projects.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Manage project resources to complete deliverables including technical staff and drawing production staff.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Coordinate, host and participate in project meetings (local and out-of-town) with the design team and clients.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Participate in construction meetings, review and respond to Technology system submittals and RFIs</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Perform site surveys to document construction progress.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Coordinate integration of security and telecommunications systems with other intelligent building systems. (BMS, Lighting control, AV etc.)</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Understanding of local and national codes and industry standards (NEC, IBC, NFPA, BICSI, EIA/TIA) related to the design and operation of noted systems.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Participate in business and client relationship development and in preparing proposals and fees under supervision of a lead.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><h2>Who You Are</h2><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;padding-left:24px;\"><li>Possess a four-year degree (B.S. in engineering is preferred) or equivalent combination of technical training and related work experience designing technology systems for buildings or field work.</li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Five to seven years’ experience actively designing high-end Security and Telecommunications systems for the AEC consulting and engineering industry or management of the installation and programming of noted systems.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:10.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Design experience for systems noted for projects of various types and sizes, both new construction and renovation.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:10.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Design experience related to DAS, Data Networks, Wi-Fi, Telephony is a plus but not required.</p></li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients.&nbsp;</li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:10.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Revit experience desired.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:10.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:10.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Comfortable working directly with clients including architects and building owners.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:115%;margin-bottom:10.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Industry certification (ASIS CPP, BICSI RCDD, AVIXA (InfoComm) CTS/-D, Cisco CCNA, etc.) is a plus although not required.<br>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>WSP Benefits:&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
