English/Spanish (bilingual) experience preferred. High level ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment. &nbsp;Proven skills to foster a positive, accountable environment through coaching and team building skills. Strong sense of urgency, capable to lead 60+ associates, while multi-tasking between needs of key stakeholders, operations, and associates in various warehouse roles. The Operations Supervisor provides leadership to leading staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting our Penske goals and objectives.</span></p>\n <p><span><strong>- Work Schedule/Shift –&nbsp;</strong>Sunday – Thursday- 4:30 am – 2:30 pm (flexibility with work schedule/shift based on business needs)</span></p>\n <p><span><strong>- Salary range - </strong>$56,200K-74,500K&nbsp;</span></p>\n <p><span><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong></span></p>\n <p><span>Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including, loading/unloading of trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives.&nbsp; Supervise most processes directly including workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level. Involved in the hiring process and customer meetings as necessary.</span></p>\n <p><br><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n <p><span><strong>Major Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>\n <p><br><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n <p><span><strong>People</strong></span></p>\n <p><span>• Establish and sustain that all supervisors and associates are trained and competent and&nbsp; understand how their work relates to the customers' business objectives</span></p>\n <p><span>• Establish and sustain that performance standards are communicated that are specific and measurable</span></p>\n <p><span>• Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire</span></p>\n <p><span>• Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance standards and provide coaching and counseling to associates&nbsp;</span></p>\n <p><span>• Motivate and engage associates by focusing on team accomplishments and recognition</span></p>\n <p><br><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n <p><span><strong>Operations</strong></span></p>\n <p><span>• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control</span></p>\n <p><span>• Conduct team meetings</span></p>\n <p><span>• Evaluate and recommend changes in preferred work methods to increase productivity of warehouse operations.
