At Dynamic, we foster a rewarding workplace, investing in our employees with industry-leading training programs that pave the way for growth and advancement.\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Design Engineer works under the direction of a Project Manager and is responsible for day-to-day project work producing technical deliverables for traffic and transportation engineering projects. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Establish and monitor adherence to project schedule and budget.</li>\n <li>Provide all necessary coordination and follow-up on the work to ensure quality standards are met, efficiency levels are maintained and client satisfaction, respect and confidence are assured.</li>\n <li>Assist in the development of traffic control device design plans, including traffic signal, signing, pavement marking, lighting and ITS plans.</li>\n <li>Create clear, concise technical reports and high quality drawings, primarily using AutoCAD.</li>\n <li>Perform field duties outside of the office in support of projects, including traffic data collection and field verifications of existing and proposed traffic control device installations.</li>\n <li>Meet with clients, prepare and deliver presentations, as required.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Emphasis in Traffic Engineering, Planning, and Highway Design courses are a plus.</li>\n <li>0-4 years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering. Any internship experience is applicable. </li>\n <li>Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred.</li>\n <li>Relevant internship experience preferred. </li>\n <li>Technical knowledge in traffic engineering with proven experience in preparing technical reports, designs, specifications, and computations.</li>\n <li>Traffic Signal design and timing experience.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of relevant software packages including, Synchro, HCS, Microstation, Corsim, VISSIM is a plus.</li>\n <li>Familiar with AutoCAD.</li>\n <li>Independent and critical thinking abilities.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project </li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>We strive to provide a great company culture consisting of a variety of team building events: trivia nights, softball and volleyball leagues, mini golf tournaments, BBQ’s, happy hours, poker nights, catered weekly staff meetings, surfboard lending programs, and much more.
