          "text": "<p>We are currently looking for an Building IT/OT Network Designer Technologist to support our projects across Ontario and Canada. The role will have a strong focus on network infrastructure and architecture,&#xa0; structured cabling, wireless, &#xa0;and physical security in critical Operational Technology (OT) environments.</p><p>The role also comes with the opportunity for significant growth within the organization as the team expands. If you have a demonstrated background in the IT/OT space with a growth mindset, we have a technical leadership opportunity for you.</p><p>This role can be based either in our Guelph, Bowmanville, Toronto, or Mississauga office, on a hybrid work arrangement.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Produce network designs and architectures.</li><li>Complete structured cabling designs to determine routing through facilities for both fibre and copper networks.</li><li>Complete network rack layouts, including but not limited to server racks, network cores, fibre and copper patch panels, and distributed network communication enclosures around a facility.</li><li>Work closely with project managers for the successful completion of projects on time, on schedule, and on budget.</li><li>Leverage your experience to analyze the client’s needs and recommend solutions.</li><li>Design telecommunication and networking solutions in line with the client’s needs, including cabling infrastructure, fibre optic, microwave, wireless, LAN/WAN and firewalling.</li><li>Design CCTV and POE IP camera systems, including network architecture, software, and hardware selection.</li><li>Building access control system design including vendor selection and component level specifications.</li><li>Apply cybersecurity best practices in line with industry norms such as NERC CIP, NIST, and ISA/IEC 62443.</li><li>Prepare detailed design of IP networking infrastructure and servers, including the preparation of plans and specifications for cabling, enclosures, and other network needs.</li><li>Actively participate in the configuration, installation and implementation of IP networks and server infrastructures through configuration of network equipment and deployment onsite is considered an asset.</li><li>Work as part of a team with multidisciplinary team environments in preparing conceptual and detailed communication/network design drawings, specifications and reports, contract documents, and, approvals applications.</li><li>Provide support during construction by reviewing shop submissions, answering contractor questions, and participating in site startup activities</li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>3 year college level diploma in a related field of study such as IT Technology or Computer Science</li><li>A minimum of 3+ years’ experience</li><li>Experience in industrial OT network design is considered an asset</li><li>Previous experience at a Consulting Engineering firm is considered an asset</li><li>Experience with network design in commercial space is also considered an asset</li><li>Active structured cabling certifications with BICSI (RCDD), or other recognized industry standard considered an asset.</li><li>Knowledge and design experience with multiple networking aspects from transport layer (copper/fibre/wireless/cellular), LANs, WANs, VLANs, server virtualization, servers, cloud systems, routing protocols, firewalls, DMZs, IT/OT convergence, and cybersecurity is critical for the role such that you can complete the required network designs.</li><li>Understanding the design documentation process and how Engineered drawings and specifications go hand in hand for owners to procure contractors is required</li><li>Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of industrial networks, protocols, and practices are considered an asset.</li><li>Knowledge in areas such as SCADA, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SEL Real Time Automation Controllers (RTACs), industrial network protocols (such as IEC 61850, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, DNP3, MQTT, OPC) is an asset.</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio is an asset</li></ul>",
