As the first (and last) point of contact, Lanai hosts are friendly and warm, yet professional and confident. We are looking for well-presented, engaging individuals who will be excited to provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service while upholding Ballast Hospitality standards and values.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Greet all guests entering the restaurant and thank all guests leaving the restaurant.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Manage reservation system.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Ensure reservations are prioritized and seated in a timely manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Strive to accommodate walk-in guests whenever possible.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Clearly and politely communicate with guests when delays and/or waits occur.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Maintain an organized floor by quickly and efficiently seating guests according to company standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Understand and operate the reservation/seating system.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Maintain professional and warm guest communications - inside the restaurant or via phone/email.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Recognize key people in the industry, VIP guests and contacts related to the company and follow company protocol related to their visit.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Communicate respectfully and clearly with the service team and management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure the satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Engage management for any guest issue or complaint.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and front door area.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Additional service and/or operational tasks as determined by the manager.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Assist teammates to anticipate all other FOH needs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Be knowledgeable of the restaurant and its history.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Minimum 1 year of host and/or restaurant experience (preferred)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Must possess an exceptional work ethic, a strong sense of hospitality, and a collaborative attitude.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Ability to work in an organized and professional manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Able to work in a standing/walking position for long periods of time.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">WHO WE ARE</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">We believe in living our values, some of which are: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Without integrity, all else fails. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">We believe in the ongoing training and development of our staff, and see it as a worthy investment in the future of the company. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Without creativity, there is no innovation. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">We believe that only a happy and professional staff can give the level of personal service we demand. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">We believe in providing legendary service – the unique and powerful sort of personal care and attention that our guests tell stories about. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">We expect to work hard, exude professionalism, and have fun in the workplace - simultaneously. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">We offer competitive pay.
