Description

Prism is hiring for multiple Entry Level Technician through Sr Technician (experience in a high-tech manufacturing plant) positions. Prism’s Manufacturing Response Technicians provide support to two of North Texas’s largest technology manufacturing sites in both Dallas and Richardson. Manufacturing Response Technicians provide support during the manufacturing process to include material handling, decontamination of process equipment, atmospheric monitoring, emergency spill response and equipment realignment. The Team works together to provide “as needed” support to our client in their state-of-the-art facility. The work is fast paced, time critical and detail oriented and provides an opportunity to gain advanced training and experience as you transition into the manufacturing support role. Job Purpose Provide hazardous materials and decontamination services in the semi-conductor industry. Our work is a specialized service that we provide to our clients to help them meet their manufacturing QC/QA goals. We will train you, the work involves specific directions, that you wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow all safety procedures. Training, Tools, PPE & Uniforms are provided to you. This is an opportunity for you to join a growing company that provides cutting edge services to a Global leader in micro-chip production. Essential Functions Must be willing to learn to work with hand tools and powered tools safely, lifting devices & material movers safely and withing in the client’s guidelines. The work at times will involve working from heights, working in confined spaces, working within strict guidelines. The work is first-shift, full time, Monday – Friday with occasional work as needed to include night and weekend coverage. Competencies Adherence to safety processes relative to manufacturing. Strong oral and written communication skills. Customer/client focus. Stress management/composure. Teamwork orientation. Work Environment Provide manufacturing support, hazardous materials handling and decontamination services in the semi-conductor industry involving chemicals, gases, industrial waste, asbestos, lead, and mold. You may be offered opportunities for advanced company paid training to include client required advanced trainings, State of TX asbestos worker certification, State of Texas mold worker certification, other State of Texas Environmental certifications. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The incumbent occasionally lifts heavy objects, walks, and stands for extended periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor. Our Team Members lift, push, pull, & carry tools & parts; use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support during their daily routine. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly reposition yourself in tight spaces within the manufacturing space. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. This position occasionally involves overtime hours, holiday work and weekend work which is compensated at overtime pay. Travel n/a Required Education and Experience 40-hour HAZWOPER a plus. Must be able to pass a client required background check. Must be able to complete a client required physical. High School education, GED or equivalent. Speaking and reading English is a client safety requirement of this position. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must possess or obtain a valid State of Texas issued identification card or drivers license before employment.
