Position and transfer patient to and from the ultrasound table using proper safety techniques. Prepare patient for examination and explain procedure to patient while performing study.  Assist physicians during interventional procedures.  Dispose of biomedical waste using CDC and OSHA guidelines.  Maintain cleanliness of examining room and ultrasound machines. Differentiate artifacts from normal and pathological process.  Correlate clinical history with the test performed.  Prepare study for Radiologist reading utilizing PACS.  Answer phones and give appointment, call floor to transport patient for test.  Maintain adequate room supplies s/a respiratory and suction tubing. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Graduate of an accredited school for Ultrasound Technology. ARDMS (OB, AB, or RVT) OR CCI (RVS). Knowledge of GE Ultrasound unit preferred.  Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  Manual dexterity for manipulating function of equipment.  Communicate with patients and other Health professionals. Understand written and verbal instructions.  Proficient in the use of MediTech, PACS.</p>",
