The PRN Pediatrician provides direct medical care to all patients, which includes an examination, diagnosis and treatment; and also provides referrals to specialists or hospitals when indicated.</span></p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong><u>Essential Skills:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provides direct medical care to clinic patients, including examination, diagnosis and treatment according to established policy and protocol.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provides in-patient care via local hospital.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Accepts emergency calls as scheduled or as necessary.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Meets with other members of the staff and participates in the planning and implementation of health service improvements.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Frequent contact is maintained with the Medical Director to whom he/she is responsible.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Performance is evaluated in terms of patient care quality, by conference, and by observation.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Serves on the health services program committee to review program activities.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Sets health maintenance protocols for patients.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Documents appropriate patient education.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Completes charts in a timely manner.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Generates all notes (Master IM, Patient Plan, OV Summary).</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Documents on-call assessments.</li><li style=\"text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Meets productivity goals.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">May be required to attend conference and training sessions within Louisiana or out-of-state locations.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong><u>Education/Experience Requirements:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Graduate of an accredited medical school.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Completion of one (1) year internship at accredited medical training program.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Louisiana.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Experience with electronic health records required, preferably NextGen or similar EHS.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Must be available to work after hours and weekends as required by management.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>WHO WE ARE?</strong> DRCHC exist to provide quality, accessible, affordable and comprehensive health care services to all.
