You&#39;ll work at the intersection of hardware, software, manufacturing, and IoT&mdash;developing firmware that powers smart lighting systems used in commercial and residential environments.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>What You&#39;ll Do</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"margin-left: 0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Design and develop embedded firmware for next-generation connected devices.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, DALI, DMX, and other communication technologies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Debug challenging hardware and software issues using real engineering tools&mdash;not just simulations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with hardware, mobile, cloud, QA, and manufacturing teams to bring products from concept to production.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Help build secure, reliable products with OTA updates, device provisioning, and modern IoT connectivity.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Contribute ideas, improve products, and take increasing ownership as you grow.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>We&#39;re Looking For Someone Who</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"margin-left: 0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Loves building things and figuring out how they work.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Is curious, humble, and always learning.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Takes initiative and enjoys solving difficult technical problems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Wants to see their work shipped into real products used every day.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Thrives in a fast-moving environment where great ideas can come from anyone.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>You&#39;ll Bring</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded firmware engineering, or equivalent hands-on project experience for exceptional candidates.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working proficiency in C/C++ for resource-constrained embedded systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with 32-bit ARM microcontrollers and common embedded development/debugging workflows.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with in-circuit debugging techniques using JTAG, SWD, serial consoles, and related tools.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working knowledge of hardware communication protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C, BLE/Mesh, DMX, DALI, Wi-Fi, or similar technologies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up, prototyping, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, or similar instrumentation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation, tooling, and test support.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with software configuration and issue management tools such as Git and Jira.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Understanding of design for manufacturability, testability, reliability, and cost is preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience supporting product validation, manufacturing test, or production troubleshooting is preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong technical documentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to follow structured engineering processes while applying creative problem-solving to technical challenges.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to collaborate with third-party development partners and external engineering teams is preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Mandarin language proficiency is a plus.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Why WAC?</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">You&#39;ll join a team of engineers, creators, and problem-solvers building innovative products in a growing IoT market.
