    "description": "<p><strong>THIS POSITION CAN BE HOUSED OUT OF ANY OF THE FACILITIES WITHIN THE <u>HELEN FARABEE CENTERS</u> ORGANIZATION.</strong></p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\">Under the supervision of the Director of Utilization and Quality Management, this position is responsible for the delivery of clinical services and community supports to persons with severe and persistent mental illness, as defined by the state authority, The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).&nbsp; Services are to be provided according to the Texas Resilience and Recovery Model, and must conform to the Performance Contract, Community Service Standards, Medicaid standards, and Helen Farabee Centers policy and procedures.</span></span></p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\"><strong>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</strong></span></span></p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\">Employee assists individuals in making informed choices, educating them on community resources, and assisting with accessing services.&nbsp; Staff must provide face-to-face assessment, tele-video, or telephonic services to determine diagnosis, perform uniform assessment, gather social history information and determine initial and on-going eligibility for services.&nbsp; Staff must also provide crisis intervention services to any person requesting help or presenting in crisis during the intake process.&nbsp; Teamwork, initiative and positive example in work habits are expected at all times.&nbsp; Provides consultation and support to fellow staff as needed.&nbsp; This position requires an <em>aptitude</em> for working with severely mentally ill, often impoverished people; and for seeing this work as a clinical specialty in which we take great pride.&nbsp; Staff should have knowledge and skills in assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning, and community support services for children, adults, and geriatric persons with mental illness; as well as knowledge of psychotherapeutic medications and basic casework skills date and/or assistance.
