    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The purpose of this job is the overall management of the Home Health service line. Responsibilities include human resources, fiscal/budgetary management, regulatory and clinical management of all areas which includes nursing, case management, social services, OT, PT, ST, as well as office staff, clinical educator and scheduler.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Assures compliance with regulatory agency standards and regulations (e.g.State, CMS and Joint Commission)</p></li>\n <li><p>Assures quality services and patient satisfaction at all times</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborates with AVP of  Patient Care Services to develop business development growth strategies</p></li>\n <li><p>Develops and monitors department budget and addresses variances</p></li>\n <li><p>Completes performance evaluations in a timely and fair manner</p></li>\n <li><p>Orients, monitors, and develops staff</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensures appropriate staffing levels and disciplines for volume of patients on service</p></li>\n <li><p>Identifies, collects and analyzes data for performance improvement in collaboration with the AVP Patient Care Services</p></li>\n <li><p>Responsible for reporting service line updates to the hospital Board of Directors at a minimum annually</p></li>\n <li>Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Specifications (Minimum Requirements)</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>RN or PT, OT, ST license.</li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge of Home Health regulations and documentation requirements.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates excellence in written and oral communication skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates excellence in interpersonal relationships.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates ability to problem solving.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates ability to take initiative.</li>\n <li>Displays professional behavior and a positive attitude at all times.</li>\n <li>Shows respect and compassion at all times.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience in development of innovative programs to increase the effectiveness of home health care services.</li>\n <li><p>Must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills as well as aptitude for conflict resolution, problem solving, strategic planning and evaluation, financial analysis and staff development.</p></li>\n <li><p> </p><p>Ability to deliver and communicate the organization’s message around service excellence as well as to listen to our customers.</p></li>\n <li><p> </p><p>Ability to affect change working closely with departments throughout the organization, including:  Quality, Patient relations, Nursing, Administration and be an influencer with the ability to encourage and inspire.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<p>Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health Related Required</p>\n<p>May consider Bachelor’s degree with Master’s degree in progress and completion within 24 months</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<p>4 years of Home Healthcare is Required</p>\n<p>2 years of Patient Care is Required</p>\n<p>2 years of Supervisory/Administrative is Required</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Certifications and Licensures</strong></p>\n<p>Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation is Required</p>\n<p>Licensed Registered Nurse, or Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist is Required</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Model of Care and Conduct</strong></p>\n<p>Methodist Hospitals strives for excellence and insists on high standards of conduct and performance in everything we do.
