(Last year over 1,100 staff members celebrated their fifth season or more at Deer Valley).</span></p><ul><li>Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resorts</li><li>Friends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only)</li><li>Subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shift</li><li>Subsidized housing options available for seasonal full-time staff</li><li>Discounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park City</li><li>Healthcare options are available for staff members</li><li>401k plan with company match</li></ul><p></p><p><b>PURPOSE OF POSITION:</b> A Lift Maintenance Technician provides general maintenance and emergency repairs to all Deer Valley lifts.   </p><p></p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b> </p><ul><li><p>Perform daily startup and periodic inspections of lifts in winter and summer  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Assist in performing in-service and after-hours maintenance and repairs   </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Participate in safety and equipment training  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Maintain clean workspaces and equipment </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Participate in daily morning briefings </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure timely and accurate completion of required records and logs  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Perform all routine mechanical inspections on lifts </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Other duties as assigned, potentially assist other Mountain Operations and Resort department </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS: </b> </p><ul><li><p>At least 18 years old </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide personal hand, power, and electrical tools  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to climb lift terminal stairs and tower ladders  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong skiing ability  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Accept direction and instruction readily  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to lift and position heavy components 50 pounds or greater, in mountainous terrain as required  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to work effectively with other lift technicians and other Deer Valley staff  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to work in extreme weather, at heights, or carry heavy equipment in mountainous areas </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to always maintain a positive and helpful attitude toward our guests  </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>BASIC WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:</b> </p><ul><li><p>Lift theory, operation, and practice  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Operational requirements and problems  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Mechanical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic systems  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Electrical AC/DC circuits, DC power supplies and batteries  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>AC and DC motor theory, operation, and maintenance  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Interpretation of technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>All applicable rules, regulations, and governing codes including ANSI B77.1  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Troubleshooting and repair techniques  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Use of DMM in troubleshooting electrical circuits  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Routine mechanical inspections of lifts  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Safe operation of snowmobiles and other company equipment  </p></li><li><p>*Control systems knowledge highly preferred*</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:</b> </p><ul><li><p>Year Round </p></li></ul><p><b>PAY RATE:</b> </p><ul><li><p>Pay: $24-29 DOE </p></li></ul><p><b> </b> </p><p>Deer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer </p><p></p>",
