(DU), the world&rsquo;s leading wetland and waterfowl conservation organization, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a team of highly motivated conservation Biologists and Engineers responsible for the planning, design, and construction of diverse wetland and wildland restoration projects in the Great Salt Lake area. The Engineer </span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">will be a Manager-scheduled hybrid environment located in Northern Utah, with frequent time spent in the Salt Lake City area</span><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">. The Engineer should have approximately ten (10) years of progressive engineering experience. Desirable qualifications include experience with irrigation conveyance and infrastructure design, hydraulic structure and levee/canal design, GPS surveying, Civil 3D, hydrologic and hydraulic (H&amp;H) modeling, construction inspection and management, and soil science. This position functions as a lead engineer, responsible for independently managing projects from initial scoping through construction and closeout. A close working relationship with DU Biologists and Engineers located in Salt Lake City, other DU staff, local, state, and federal agency personnel, private landowners, and other conservation partners is an important aspect of the job.
