This position provides a unique opportunity for OMS II students to contribute to the education of fellow students, gain teaching experience in osteopathic principles and practices, and review high yield concepts for second-year block examinations and NBOME/COMLEX board exams. The further development of interprofessional communication and teamwork skills are also notable benefits of the teaching assistant program. Responsibilities and Career Competencies: Participation as a teaching assistant for the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters C,TW,P,CTR Explanation and demonstration of all assigned osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) techniques being taught that week C,P,CT,CPR Explanation of pertinent anatomy relevant to OMT principles and techniques being taught that week C.P,CT,CTR Attendance at every TA meeting on Tuesday prior to Wednesday afternoon lab. C,TW,P Reviewing OPP topics assigned each week before lab P,CT Timely communication with fellows in the event of availability issues for lab that week C,TW,P Competencies/Skills: Communication (C): Ability to effectively communicate with other teaching assistants, first-year students, faculty, and fellows, both written and verbally. Teamwork (TW): Collaborates well with others, especially in team-oriented environments. Professionalism (P): Maintains professionalism while working with students, faculty, fellows, and university employees, adhering to workplace policies and standards. Critical Thinking (CT): Demonstrates the ability to think critically in handling student questions, issues, and problem-solving.
