As a<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Senior Forest Technician</span>, you will work with safety as a top priority. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full phase timber development, field engineering and assessments.</li>\n<li>Timber Cruising - Considered an asset</li>\n<li>SP Data Collection.</li>\n<li>Supervise field development crews.<br></li>\n<li>Ensure client targets and deliverables are met.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE </span></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be a graduate of a post secondary forestry or natural resources program. Other requirements include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registered or immediately eligible to be registered as an RFT with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia.</li>\n<li>3+ Years working on timber development and engineering projects with a strong understanding of harvest systems utilized in BC.</li>\n<li>Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Self motivated and the ability to work under limited direct supervision.</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of BC forest legislation.</li>\n<li>Experience working with First Nations.</li>\n<li>Ability to work well in a team environment.</li>\n<li>Ability to work outdoors in all types of adverse weather conditions and steep slopes.</li>\n<li>Ability to provide safety leadership and direction by guiding safety improvement and ensuring adherence to Landmark safety policies, procedures, and practices.</li>\n<li>Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driving record and the confidence to drive safely in a variety of road conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT WE PROVIDE</span></p>\n<p>Landmark is centrally located in the city of Salmon Arm, with a population of ~19,000, Salmon Arm has all the amenities you will find in larger centres in the BC interior.  Located on beautiful Shuswap Lake, the area offers an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. You will have access to lakes, hiking trails, camping, world class fly fishing, mountain biking, back-country skiing and three different ski resorts within an hour’s drive.
