Description

Overview The Senior Director of Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the organization’s core technology environment that supports internal business operations and enterprise technology services. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and resiliency of the company’s infrastructure, network services, database platforms, disaster recovery capabilities, and corporate business applications. Reporting to the VP of Technology Operations, this leader drives the maturity and performance of the enterprise technology foundation while aligning infrastructure and enterprise systems strategy with the company’s broader business objectives. The role leads a team of 16 system engineers and database administrators and is responsible for establishing standards, governance, and operational excellence across the technology environment. This position requires close collaboration with key technology leaders across the Enterprise Technology Services organization to ensure seamless service delivery, operational stability, and alignment between infrastructure, enterprise systems, and support functions. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development for systems engineers and database administrators. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence. Promote continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and operational best practices. Leadership Competencies Strategic Leadership – Ability to translate business priorities into infrastructure and enterprise systems strategies that support long-term organizational growth and operational resilience. Operational Excellence – Demonstrated capability to build and sustain highly reliable technology environments through disciplined operational practices and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Proven ability to partner effectively with architecture, support operations, and IT service management leaders to ensure coordinated service delivery. Team Development & Talent Leadership – Experience building and developing high-performing engineering and technical teams through mentorship, coaching, and clear accountability. Enterprise Thinking – Ability to evaluate technology decisions through the lens of enterprise impact, balancing innovation, risk management, and operational stability. Communication & Executive Engagement – Strong ability to communicate complex technology topics clearly to executive leadership and business stakeholders. Change Leadership – Experience leading organizational and technology change initiatives including infrastructure modernization and operational maturity improvements. The Senior Director of Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and resilience of the company’s technology foundation. By leading infrastructure and enterprise systems teams and partnering with architecture, support, and service management leaders, this role ensures enterprise technology services remain reliable, secure, and aligned with long-term business objectives. Qualifications Required: Minimum 15 years of experience in technology operations, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise systems leadership roles. Demonstrated experience leading enterprise infrastructure, network services, and database platforms in complex IT environments. Proven experience managing and developing engineering and operations teams. Strong understanding of high availability infrastructure design and disaster recovery planning. Experience operating within mature IT service management frameworks. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Information Systems, Technology Management, Business Administration, or related discipline. Industry certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CCNP, AWS, Azure, or equivalent. Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and infrastructure modernization initiatives. Travel: Approximately 15% travel for leadership meetings, planning sessions, and strategic initiatives Total Compensation Base pay is one element of the total compensation package. Eligible employees may also receive an annual cash bonus and have access to a comprehensive benefits offering, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan. Salary Range It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Individual pay may be influenced by factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
