Description

Overview The Food & Beverage Manager, The Hadsten is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations and functions of the restaurant, bar, and kitchen areas including safety, compliance, and staff for The Hadsten. Ensures that guests experience exceptional services and products. Responsibilities Provides the finest guest dining experience while leading a highly motivated and guest-service focused team. Monitors service and interfaces with the Food & Beverage (F&B) Team, front of house (FOH), and back of house (BOH) to ensure outstanding guest service. Responsible for developing and coordinating changes to menus and continual review of beverage product offerings and pricing. Monitors the performance of menu items to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction. Interfaces with the culinary team to review menus and pricing. Responsible for ensuring safety inspections of the restaurant kitchen and service areas are regularly conducted and facilities are maintained to sanitation, safety, and aesthetics standards. Responsible for ensuring all F&B areas are adequate in inventory supply levels and are kept organized and clean. Responsible for enforcement and compliance with cash control and tip procedures, completing related accounting and administrative reports as required. Works with the finance departments on payroll, tip reporting, and invoice reviews. Completes end of month, quarterly, and end of year reports indicating current revenues, expenses, and labor. Supports operational efficiency through collaboration with other functional areas, including the hotel front desk and housekeeping. Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Hotel Manager. May serve guests food and drinks, bus tables, cashier, and answer phones during peak times or as needed. Hires, trains, develops, empowers, coaches, counsels, conducts performance and salary reviews, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, disciplines, and recommends terminations as appropriate. Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED certificate. Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field or equivalent work experience. Must register in the RBS Portal, take training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days of their confirmed training. Five years of experience in fine dining restaurant leadership. Two years of experience in conducting service-training programs for FOH and BOH staff. Two years of culinary experience. Basic proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems. Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet. Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency. Native American hiring preference applies. Customer Focus: Knowing the (internal and external) customer business needs and acting; accordingly, anticipating customer needs, and giving high priority to customer satisfaction and customer service. Strategic Thinking: Understands and processes complex information and exercises sound judgment, considering the situation, the issues, the key players, and the levels of authority involved. Proposes courses of action that further the objectives, priorities, and vision of the organization.
