    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The NPDI Procurement Lead is the single point of contact for Procurement on assigned New Product Development &amp; Introduction (NPDI) projects. This role is responsible for establishing a resilient, cost‑effective, and scalable supply chain for new products by driving early supplier engagement, sourcing strategy execution, and procurement readiness throughout the NPDI phase‑and‑gate process.</p>\n<p>Acting as Procurement’s primary representative within the Modular Power Converters product line (including Medium UPS and DC Power), this position partners closely with Engineering, Offering, Program Management, and Operations in ensuring products transition smoothly from development into production.</p>\n<p>This is an onsite role, spending time in Delaware, OH and Westerville, OH.</p>\n<p><strong>Reports To</strong></p>\n<p>BU NPDI Procurement Leader</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><strong>NPDI Program Leadership and Cross‑Functional Alignment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Own Procurement roadmap for all NPDI programs within the Modular Power Converters product line globally.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Serve as the primary Procurement representative for assigned NPDI projects from early concept through production readiness.</li>\n <li>Ensure procurement deliverables are planned, tracked, and executed in alignment with NPDI phase and gate requirements.</li>\n <li>Represent Procurement at NPDI gate reviews, providing clear visibility into sourcing maturity, gaps, and mitigations.</li>\n <li>Track and report key metrics such as cost, lead time, supplier performance, and launch readiness.</li>\n <li>Partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Commodity Management, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure sourcing strategies support overall project objectives.</li>\n <li>Act as the primary escalation point for procurement‑related risks impacting cost, schedule, or supply resilience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Early Supplier Engagement and Sourcing Strategy</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engage proactively with Engineering to understand component requirements early in the design process.</li>\n <li>Engage suppliers early to assess technical capability, capacity, cost drivers, and lead‑time expectations.</li>\n <li>Send early RFQs/RFPs ahead of design release and drive competitive bidding to achieve cost targets.</li>\n <li>Facilitate collaboration between Engineering and suppliers to improve design for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and supply flexibility.</li>\n <li>Establish strong supplier partnerships to drive innovation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Ensure sourcing approaches align with established commodity strategies and preferred supplier frameworks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Cost, Risk, and Supply Chain Readiness</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds, ensuring on-time availability of materials and services.</li>\n <li>Ensure sourcing aligns with NPDI resilience expectations (multi‑source, regional manufacturing, avoidance of single‑point failures).</li>\n <li>Use standardized BOM cost and risk tracking tools to maintain consistency and transparency.</li>\n <li>Promote reuse of existing, qualified components and architectures where feasible to improve cost, availability, and time‑to‑market.</li>\n <li>Drive sourcing maturity and readiness prior to product release to minimize disruption during ramp‑up and production.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.</li>\n <li>Strong background (5-7 years) in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain, with experience supporting new product or engineering‑driven programs.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across functions without direct authority.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting global supply chains and multiple manufacturing regions.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with stage‑gate or structured product development processes.</li>\n <li>Experience working closely with Engineering teams during early product development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>% of Travel:&nbsp;15%&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><i>The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals &amp;
