The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of all field and office survey operations.</li>\n <li>Organize technical production and direct field work.</li>\n <li>Uphold quality control and assurance.</li>\n <li>Maintain communication with clients, leadership and staff.</li>\n <li>Meet schedules and budgets while providing responsive service to the client.</li>\n <li>Perform boundary research of maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records.</li>\n <li>Prepare boundary calculations, metes and bounds descriptions and parcel plats.</li>\n <li>Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for various surveys including control, topographic, bathymetric, engineering, alignment and right-of-way.</li>\n <li>Coordinate projects with clients, staff, engineering and architectural personnel, and other stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Determine methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control.</li>\n <li>Ability to apply techniques and methods to obtain desired accuracy and information.</li>\n <li>Maintain project database by using computer programs; entering and backing up data.</li>\n <li>Develop and present proposals to clients.</li>\n <li>Show consistent exercise of initiative and independent judgment in work assignments.</li>\n <li>Maintain professional and technical knowledge.</li>\n <li>Participate in professional societies and practice communities.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with and mentor people.</li>\n <li>May supervise the activities of a single or multiple survey field crews and provide training to staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>What you’ll bring to our firm:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid registration as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of North Carolina or in the process of obtaining your PLS in the next six months (preferred).</li>\n <li>Experience with preparation of boundary research and calculations, topographic surveys, project control, metes and bounds descriptions and general survey support for engineering design projects.</li>\n <li>Experience managing office and field survey personnel with the ability to identify work priorities and functions.</li>\n <li>Excellent math, oral and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong detail-oriented work style.</li>\n <li>Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects with schedule and budget constraints.</li>\n <li>Professional attitude and able to communicate with all levels of personnel.</li>\n <li>Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What we prefer you bring:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Professional Licensed Surveyor</li>\n <li>Pennsylvania resident.</li>\n <li>Experience with survey software (Leica, Trimble, Carlson Survey, Civil3D).</li>\n <li>Ability to work in an environment with changing priorities and work locations.</li>\n <li>Flexible to work overtime.</li>\n <li>Experience with the following projects:</li>\n <li>Boundary/Topo</li>\n <li>Transportation/Bridges</li>\n <li>Preparation of Right-of-Way Acquisitions and Easements</li>\n <li>ALTA/ACSM (NSPS) Land Title Surveys</li>\n <li>Construction Layout</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong>The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000. </p>\n<p>Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.</p> \n<strong>Featured Benefits: </strong>• Hybrid (in-person and remote) work environment.• Comprehensive benefits package including wellness programs, parental leave, and pet insurance, in addition to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.• Tax-deferred 401(k) savings plan.• Competitive paid-time-off (PTO) accrual.• Tuition reimbursement for continued education.• Commitment to professional development, access to internal and external training programs, and support of active participation in professional organizations• Incentive compensation for eligible positions.\n<h2></h2>\n<p>At GFT, a privately held AEC firm, we innovate where transportation, water, power, and buildings converge.
