    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Job Title: Contract Marine Construction Laborer</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Job Summary:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The Marine Laborer plays a critical role in the construction and maintenance of marine and coastal infrastructure projects. This position involves performing various manual labor tasks to support the construction, repair, and maintenance of piers, docks, seawalls, and other marine structures. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy civil construction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in challenging environments.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The period of employment will start on October 1, 2024, and ends after 4 weeks. Although there could be an opportunity to gain full time employment, it would depend on the need of the company, as well as the skills of the personnel.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The project will be with JEA and will be in Jacksonville, FL. The work schedule will be 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, and there will be both day and night shifts.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Key Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Operate and maintain various types of construction equipment and tools, including but not limited to jackhammers, drills, saws, and concrete mixers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Perform tasks such as concrete demolition and concrete forming.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have the ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and work at heights with fall gear.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment to and from the worksite.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all team members.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work collaboratively with other team members, including heavy equipment operators, excavators, welders, and commercial divers, to complete projects on time and within budget.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">High school diploma or equivalent.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy civil construction but not a requirement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to operate and maintain construction equipment and tools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Strong understanding of construction techniques and best practices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices in construction.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must pass a background check.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Certifications in OSHA safety training and other relevant areas are a plus.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work Environment:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on uneven terrain.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Regularly exposed to noise, dust, and other construction site hazards.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Physical Requirements:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as digging, lifting, and climbing.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><em>Equal Opportunity Employer.
