    "description": "<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lucas Tree Experts</span>, a leader in the tree care industry, is looking for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Utility Line Clearance </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supervisor</span> to join our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Management Team</span> in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bridgewater Nova Scotia.</span> Strong supervisory background is required.<br><br></span></p>\n<p>The ideal candidate with have a minimum of 3 years industry experience or prior supervisory experience in a comparable role, be able to manage several projects simultaneously, and be comfortable with all aspects of supervision and management including:<br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employee supervision</li>\n<li>Safety &amp; performance management</li>\n<li>Staffing (to include recruiting, interviewing, orienting, and training new hires)</li>\n<li>Developing growth opportunities and monitoring job success</li>\n<li>Coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees to accomplish team goals</li>\n<li>Implementing and enforcing policies and procedures</li>\n<li>Complete operations by scheduling work, assigning crews, and monitoring work progress</li>\n<li>Implementing productivity standards to meet operational goals</li>\n<li>Resolving operational issues and implementing new procedures</li>\n<li>Providing quality service by enforcing high quality standards with strong customer service</li>\n<li>Contributing to overall team success</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This is a year-round, full time, outdoor, opportunity. Duties include:</span> Supervising personnel in the various company operations to secure and maintain business to the satisfaction of company management; supervise assigned crews, schedule, direct and performs activities related to tree work for utility and private customers; able to work with various community members and home owners to ensure proper work is completed and all parties are satisfied.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIREMENTS: <br><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span> At least 3 years in the tree industry or prior supervisory experience.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must have strong management, organizational, and people skills.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must be 18 years of age with a HS Diploma/GED/or equivalent.</span><br></li>\n<li><span> Must have a current and valid driver’s license in good standing as determined by Lucas Tree.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must be able to work outside in various types of weather.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the position.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must be able to travel as needed for the position.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must be familiar with technology (i.e. smart phones, computers) and have basic computer skills.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must be able to create estimates for the purpose of bidding on new jobs and ensures good public relations at all times.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must be able to develop new accounts and maintains existing customers as well as investigates and solves complaints.</span></li>\n<li><span> Must have or be willing and able to obtain, and maintain licenses &amp; certifications (Pesticide, Arborist, CDL, CTSP) as required by the position in order to grow your career (this is paid for by Lucas Tree Experts).</span><br></li>\n<li><span> Must be able to successfully complete a post offer physical &amp; drug screen as well as a background and motor vehicle check.<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Interested parties must include a Resume and Cover Letter with their application to be considered for this position.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lucas Tree Experts offers paid, hands-on, on the job training, paid educational courses for advancement in the industry.
