Applicants must have passed the FE or be eligible and prepared to take it, with the intention of pursuing Professional Engineering (PE) licensure. &nbsp;This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to work in a growing office. &nbsp;We are looking for someone who has excellent time management skills and is eager to develop a broad knowledge of engineering skills in a specific practice area. &nbsp;In this position, you will gain exposure to various projects while cultivating your engineering career.</p><p><strong>Essential functions and responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\">Evaluating, selecting and applying standards, techniques and procedures to perform a task or sequence of tasks and designs for multiple types of site civil engineering projects, such as: Residential, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial and infrastructure both in the private and public markets&nbsp;</li><li>Having knowledge of and ability to apply standard principles, practices, and regulations of Civil Engineering, Site development, and Site Hydraulics/Hydrology</li><li>Under supervisor of a Senior Engineer, perform in-depth civil design tasks developing complete plan sets&nbsp;</li><li>Preparing all or portions of project documents with minimal instructions or assistance&nbsp;</li><li>Having a deep understanding of and being able to use Civil 3D as the primary tool in developing plans&nbsp;</li><li>Editing specifications</li><li>Performing research and investigations</li><li>Understanding, interpreting and applying national, state, and local codes and standards</li><li>Assisting in determining schedule and work requirements</li><li>Receiving instruction on specific objectives and executing project work</li><li>Possessing effective oral and written communication skills; Communication is key!</li><li>Demonstrating initiative, adaptability, dependability, and commendable personal conduct</li><li>Participating with a team of design professionals to improve our design capabilities</li><li>Working with project managers to solve community planning, development and civil challenges</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of two (2) years of site civil engineering experience with industrial, residential or commercial site development experience</li><li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program</li><li>Relevant co-op or internship experience in a related field preferred&nbsp;</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred or the ability to obtain appropriate licensure</li><li>Self-motivated person looking for career development and advancement</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined environment</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications</li><li>Proficiency in Civil3D&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in our Cartersville and Atlanta offices</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;Travel requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>FIELD (20%) AND OFFICE (80%)</li><li>This position requires work to be performed in an office environment and in the field.
