Job Summary Western Aircraft is looking for diligent and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technicians to join our dynamic team! Aircraft Structures Technicians are responsible for inspecting and conducting structural repairs and modifications per blueprint specifications while utilizing hand tools and test equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications. Western Aircraft Inc. has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes applicants passing pre-employment testing in accordance with 14 CFR 120. Applicants testing positive for the presence of prohibited drugs are ineligible for employment. DOT applicants who become employees of Western Aircraft Inc. will also be subject to random, reasonable cause, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing. Equal Opportunity Employer. Duties & Responsibilities Performs a variety of aircraft structural repairs and modifications Use specialized equipment and tools to measure parts for defects or deviation from specifications Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance work Completes duties within allotted hours quoted for assigned tasks Ensures proper and complete documentation of maintenance, repair, and modification work performed Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner Follows strict dimension tolerances in compliance with FAA, FAR, based on supplied approved data. Qualifications & Job Requirements Minimum three (3) years’ experience in aviation regarding Small, Mid to Large cabin aircraft. Minimum three (3) years’ performing structural repairs and modifications. Experience working with composite materials a plus Basic knowledge of Sheet Metal assembly techniques required Ability to read blueprints and schematics required Able to work independently and as part of a team Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions Organized and detail oriented Airframe Certification preferred for entry and mid level position / Required for senior level position Other Prerequisites Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
