This role is essential in providing safe, timely, and nutritious meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare environment. Food Service Assistants work across multiple areas including food preparation, tray line, cafeteria service, dish room, and room service operations while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><strong>A Day in the Life of a Food Service Assistant</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">As a Food Service Assistant, you&rsquo;ll help prepare and serve meals while supporting patients, staff, and visitors. Your day may include working on the tray line, delivering and picking up patient meal trays, and assisting in the cafeteria.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">You&rsquo;ll help keep meals accurate by following diet orders and special requests and may assist with tray delivery for patients in isolation, following proper training.
