    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">OVERVIEW</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Community Roots Foundation is seeking enthusiastic, adaptable individuals with a passion for working with school-age children (K–8th grade) to join our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Recess Supervision Program</span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Community Care Club (Before &amp; After School Program)</span>. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in child development, youth programming, and group supervision. Perfect for those interested in education, child care, or recreational studies.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">In this role, you will provide safe and engaging supervision during school <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">snack &amp; lunch recess</span>, while also planning and leading fun, meaningful activities in our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">after school program</span>. From guiding positive playground play to creating projects, clubs, sports, and enrichment activities, you’ll help students build friendships, develop creativity, and grow in a supportive environment.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Supervise students during recess, lunch, and after school programming to ensure safety and positive interactions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate projects, clubs, sports, games, and special events based on student interests.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Reinforce school and program rules while applying consistent discipline and positive behavior strategies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, inclusion, and healthy play.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist students in resolving minor conflicts respectfully.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Report and document observations, incidents, and injuries to the Program Director.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Inspect and maintain facilities, equipment, and play spaces to ensure safety.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate in cleaning and organization of program areas.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain accurate student records (attendance, behavior logs, incident reports).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support compliance with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Health, Safety, and CA Community Care Licensing</span> requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Perform related tasks as needed.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">High school diploma or equivalent.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Minimum of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">1 year of experience</span> working with school-age children.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">12 college units</span> in Child Development, Education, Recreation, Physical Education, or Human Services <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">preferred (required).</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must pass fingerprint clearance, TB test, pre-employment physical, and provide immunization record of measles and pertussis vaccines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Must complete required training upon hire: <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CPR, First Aid, Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment and Pest Management.</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Regularly required to walk and/or stand for extended periods, see and observe students, and hear/speak clearly.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, and sitting on the floor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Regularly required to see and observe students, walk and/or stand for extended periods of time, and hear and speak to exchange information.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
