    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><i>First Solar reserves the right to offer you a role most applicable to your experience and skillset.</i>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Basic Job Functions:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Implements, tests, and maintains all manufacturing equipment controls.</li>\n <li>Performs as directed, all necessary maintenance of equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner</li>\n <li>Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, identify and/or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Education/Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>3-7 years of electrical/electronic/controls experience.</li>\n <li>Associate Degree in Electrical, Robotics, or Electronic Engineering preferred.</li>\n <li>If no Degree - Must have 5+ years verifiable experience in a related field, (i.e. Semiconductors, Automotive etc.).</li>\n <li>Journeyman’s Card from an accredited apprenticeship program preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Required Skills/Competencies:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and set priorities required</li>\n <li>Proficient in CMMS.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and problem solving on the manufacturing line.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in robotics, electrical/electronic, mechanical and vacuum systems.</li>\n <li>Ability to read prints and suggest modifications as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Essential Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Troubleshoot, repair, problem-solve, and maintain all electrical control problems for all manufacturing equipment.</li>\n <li>Test all equipment and control functions of new controls established or designated by First Solar Controls dept.</li>\n <li>Download new software changes/upgrades specified by the Controls Dept. and maintain current software databases for Base Plant.</li>\n <li>Assist IT Dept. with the setup, installation, and testing of all communication devices for PLC’s.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Identify, research, prepare and present solutions to control problems and continuous improvement projects.</li>\n <li>Document and follow-up problems relating to controls.</li>\n <li>Provide all written documentation for indication of proper testing on all projects submitted by the Controls Dept.</li>\n <li>Assist new equipment commissioning technicians to verify that their testing of control systems is done correctly and efficiently completed.</li>\n <li>Research, prepare and present solutions to problems.</li>\n <li>Responsible for interfacing with other Company and Supplier Representatives.</li>\n <li>Maintains effective communications levels and fosters teamwork.</li>\n <li>Ensures adherence to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.</li>\n <li>Interfaces effectively and cooperatively with other departments.</li>\n <li>Performs predictive and preventive maintenance on any or all production equipment.</li>\n <li>Develops and implements new electrical preventative maintenance tasks, procedures, and schedules.</li>\n <li>Perform troubleshooting of robotic, electrical and mechanical systems.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Maximo reporting and parts search.</li>\n <li>Perform additional tasks assigned.</li>\n <li>Job description subject to change at any time.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Reporting Relationships:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position will not have direct reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Travel:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>No travel is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Estimated Salary Range:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>$23.03-$32.21</li>\n</ul>\n<p>US Physical Requirements:</p>\n<p>Manufacturing &amp; Maintenance Physical Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.</li>\n <li>Will climb stairs on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction.</li>\n <li>Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Will push or pull up to 27 pounds of force on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Will push or pull up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>20/40 vision in each eye (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required.</li>\n <li>May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.</li>\n <li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to;
