At the same time, the student athlete shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>1. The assistant coach reports to the head coach and the high school athletic director.<br>\n 2. The assistant coach is responsible for, and supervises all aspects of their level of the program with direction of the head coach.<br>\n 3. Provides the head coach with information pertaining to his/her level of the program (scores, schedules, sites, discipline concerns, procedures and is directly responsible for inventory of supplies and equipment, etc.) Schedules and attends practice sessions, develops and implements individual/team training plans by the day, week, month, year as appropriate for their level in conjunction with the overall program goals/philosophy.<br>\n 4. Makes sure each athlete is cleared from the athletic office to participate.<br>\n 5. Complies with the rules and regulations as established by CCSD, Centennial League, and the Colorado High School Activities Association.<br>\n 6. Monitors athlete’s attendance/behavior/academic status.<br>\n 7. Ability to use approved first-aid and CPR skills.<br>\n 8. Understands the signs and symptoms of concussion and removes players that are exhibiting signs and symptoms of concussion.<br>\n 9. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>1. Assist with the organization and developing the high school program.<br>\n 2. Basic knowledge of girls volleyball.<br>\n 3. Possess or has the ability to acquire a valid Colorado Coaching Certificate.<br>\n 4. Successfully pass the CHSAA coaches test, acquire CHSSA coaching registration and complete a concussion course per State Legislation and CHSAA By-Laws.<br>\n 5. CPR &amp; AED Certification required.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:</strong><br>\n All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>1. Has previous successful teaching, coaching and/or sport participation experience.</p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>1. Heavy physical lifting (50 lbs – items of various shapes and sizes).<br>\n 2. Overhead lifting and squatting required on a daily basis.<br>\n 3. Repetitive motion.<br>\n 4. Standing, bending and kneeling.<br>\n 5. Eye/hand coordination.<br>\n 6.
