The Nurse Manager operates within the Springfield Memorial Hospital and Nursing Division mission, vision, strategic priorities, and goals. Utilizing a shared leadership philosophy, the Nurse Manager assumes <strong>24-hour accountability</strong> for unit management and the quality of patient care. This includes fostering a work environment that supports effective communication, collaboration, teambuilding, and professional nursing practice.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Nurse Manager:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ensures Magnet Program standards and evidence-based nursing practices are embedded in daily operations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Promotes staff development, engagement, and clinical excellence to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintains strong physician, interdepartmental, and community relationships.</p></li>\n <li><p>Champions a culture of compassion, innovation, and professional growth.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>To review Memorial's Benefits click here: Benefits - Memorial HR</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Education:</p>\n<p>·         BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.Licensure/Certification/Registry:</p>\n<p>·         Current Illinois RN licensure required.</p>\n<p>·         Holds national specialty nursing certification in clinical area or nursing administration, or completes within 24 months of assuming role.Experience:</p>\n<p>·         At least three years experience in acute care nursing as a registered nurse with demonstrated progressive leadership/management skills.Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p>\n<p>·         Demonstrated working knowledge of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program model and standards.</p>\n<p>·         Demonstrated understanding of nurse-sensitive quality indicators and basic hospital/nursing regulatory requirements.</p>",
