          "text": "<p><strong>Overview of the Role:</strong></p><p>This opportunity will be based out of our Vancouver Office with occasional travel to the project site. </p><p>You will be required to perform technical tasks related to structural engineering in real time while on site while located at an operating facility, including inspection and audits of site facilities as well as determining design criteria, preparing engineering calculations and technical design, performing computer analysis, developing drawing layouts and construction details.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Structural work primarily includes design and reinforcement of buildings, equipment supports, walkways, platforms, and other industrial structures; these utilize construction materials of structural steel, reinforced concrete and reinforced masonry. Design conditions include conventional loading, seismic and equipment vibration, and hydraulic.</li><li>Calculations performed manually or employing Excel and Mathcad. Computer modelling includes S-Frame, S-Steel, S-Concrete, Autodesk Structural Robot, and others.</li><li>Drafting performed in AutoCAD, Revit, with Bluebeam markups.</li><li>General software includes Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.</li><li>On site facility inspections and audits.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Technical</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Structural (Civil) Engineering from an accredited university.</li><li>Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer with ‘Engineers and Geoscientists of BC’.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience in heavy industry sectors, <strong><em>particularly mining</em></strong>, within Canada.</li><li>Alternatively, minimum 7 years of experience in commercial or light industry sectors within Canada.</li><li>Experience and proficiency in engineering to Canadian building codes and standards, including:  NBCC, CSA/S16, CSA/A23, and CSA/S304.</li><li>Previous onsite experience considered an asset.</li></ul><p><strong>General:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to walk the facility and stand for long periods of time while maintaining safety standards.</li><li>Strong professional standards, with proficiency in structural theory and practice.</li><li>Organizational skills, with effective communication and coordination with team.</li><li>Proficient communication in oral English, written presentation, technical sketching</li><li>Multi-tasking with ability to work to schedules and budgets.</li><li>Able to travel to client site near Kamloops for data collection and construction review.</li></ul>",
