Our products include the installation of pavement markings in waterborne paint, epoxy, polyurea, thermoplastic, preformed plastic, 3M tape, and pavement marking removal. Shifts include long days, most weekends and many nights during peak season which extends from March through December.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>JOB IS DISPATCHED EVERY DAY FROM DUBOIS, PA</strong><br><br><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Work with striping crew to layout and install pavement markings on roadways, parking lots, and airports, etc.</li><li>Perform and complete all work in compliance with DOT and quality guidelines, while maximizing production.</li><li>Calculate field measurements using engineered plans and/or google earth images.</li><li>Track and record quantities of pavement markings on each project.</li><li>Perform traffic control. Example: flagging, short-term lane closures, and slow-moving mobile lane closures.</li><li>Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection and ensure equipment is in working order.</li><li>Perform standard, preventative maintenance on all pavement marking equipment.</li><li>Operate various equipment to install pavement markings, including airless paint machines, air-atomized paint trucks, epoxy plural component trucks, polyurea plural component trucks, thermoplastic trucks, thermoplastic detail units, thermoplastic hand-liners, grooving trucks, and water-blasting removal trucks.</li><li>Load and unload trucks daily.</li><li>Drive company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.</li><li>Perform other work-related duties as requested.</li></ul><strong>Position Requirements:</strong><ul><li>Previous experience in pavement marking, highway construction, or a related field, is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.</li><li>Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology, including smart phones and applications.</li><li>Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record, a CDL license is preferred.</li><li>Must have a good driving record with no major violations within the last five years or be accepted by the company insurance policy provider to drive PLP Co. vehicles.</li><li>Must comply with PLP Co. Substance Abuse Policy and DOT Drug Control Program, which includes pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol testing.</li><li>PLP Co. is a union employer. You must join the Laborers Local Union #1058 and pay dues pursuant to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.</li><li>Must obtain Flagging Certification or Traffic Control Technician Certification.</li><li>Typical physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, lifting minimum of 50 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing, and talking.</li><li>Must be willing to workdays, nights, weekends, and occasional travel.</li><li>Exhibit teamwork.</li><li>Employee must supply their own set of hand tools.</li><li>High school diploma or GED is required.</li><li>Working outdoors with variable temperature and weather conditions.</li></ul><strong>Key Competencies:</strong><ul><li>Honest, trustworthy, dependable.</li><li>PUNCTUAL.
