While we aim to compete at a high level athletically, our mission is to develop integrity and leadership, as well as cultivate a growth mindset and resilience within our student-athletes. Reporting directly to the Director of Athletics, a Lab Coach is responsible for educating </span><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">student-athletes to this end through participation in sport. A Lab Coach will be a sport-specific expert who can provide safe, fun, and challenging learning environments for student-athletes, as well as model sportsmanship and positive leadership in all areas of the program. </span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Charlotte Lab Athletics seeks coaches for the following sports:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Fall Sports:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Middle School Soccer</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">High School Soccer </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Middle School Girls Volleyball </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">High School Girls Volleyball </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Spring Sports:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Flag Football</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Performance Responsibilities </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Supervise and instruct student-athletes during all team activities, including: </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Plan and execute practices that are relevant, challenging, and developmentally appropriate </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">for all student-athletes.  </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"> Provide training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who is </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">considered a participant. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Be present at all practices and games. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"> Provide assistance, guidance, and safeguards for each participant. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Initiate programs and policies concerning injuries, medical attention, and emergencies. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Complete &amp; submit proper paperwork and reports to the Director of Athletics as needed. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"> Maintain and inventory of team equipment and apparel, including: </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Instill in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care and proper use. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Maintain of positive public relations with news media, Booster Club, parents, officials, volunteers, </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">community partners, other institutional representatives, vendors, and fans, including: </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Support of multi-sport participation for student-athletes and promotion of balanced achievement in </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">all areas of school life for student-athletes. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">In concert with the Director of Athletics, ensure program compliance with all NCHSSA, NCDPI, and </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">community-based organization rules/regulations for sport.  </span><br><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Terms of Employment </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">The above responsibilities should be executed for the duration of the contracted season.  </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"> Fall Season - August 31 through November 15 </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">The Charlotte Lab School Athletic Coaches will have responsibilities in support of the Charlotte Lab Schools’ </span><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">organizational vision:  </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Lead consistent coaches/team meetings and communicate regularly through systems designed for </span><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">your team; </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Be detail oriented, balanced with the ability to see the “big picture;” </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Possess strong communication skills; </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Supervise students and assist in the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe school environment; </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Have excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Represent Charlotte Lab School in a positive manner throughout the larger community. </span><br><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Qualifications </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Candidates for Athletics Coach MUST: </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Hold or be willing to obtain up-to-date CPR/First Aid Certification; </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Must complete a criminal background check prior to employment. </span><br><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">In addition, the Lab School Hiring Committee will look favorably upon candidates who: </span><br><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Have a least two years of relevant coaching experience;
