This position requires individuals who are reliable, patient-focused, and comfortable assisting individuals with mobility needs. Drivers operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles and ensure passengers are safely secured during transport.<br>Schedules vary based on patient appointments and daily routing needs. Availability is required from 7am - 8pm, with flexibility depending on scheduled trips.<br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Lakewood, NJ<br><strong>Employment Type: </strong>Full-Time / Part-Time<br><strong>Salary:</strong> $18 – $21 per hour<br><br><u><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></u></p><ul><li>Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, healthcare facilities, and other approved locations.</li><li>Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle, including those using wheelchairs or mobility devices.</li><li>Operate wheelchair lifts and properly secure wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.</li><li>Maintain a professional, courteous, and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and healthcare staff.</li><li>Follow all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and transportation protocols.</li><li>Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, route changes, delays, or patient needs.</li><li>Complete required trip documentation and logs accurately.</li><li>Conduct basic vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles remain clean and safe for passengers.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Qualifications</strong></u></p><ul><li>Valid New Jersey Driver’s License with a clean driving record.</li><li>Current CPR Certification required.</li><li>Current MAVO Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.</li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to assist passengers with mobility needs when necessary.</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours based on transportation schedules.</li></ul><strong>Preferred</strong><ul><li>Previous experience in medical transportation, healthcare, or patient services.</li><li>CPR certification.</li><li>Experience assisting elderly or disabled individuals.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation </strong><br>The published salary range is used as a guide to provide prospective candidates with a level of compensation that is competitive with today’s market.
