    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Job Title: OSP Engineer I</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Job Classification under FLSA: Nonexempt</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Reports To: Director of OSP Engineering</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Job Summary and Objectives:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assists and prepares drawings for construction of new, and removal or rearrangement of existing, overhead or underground lines (copper and fiber optic), and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities by performing the following duties.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Essential Job Functions:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Selects routing of lines, sizes of conduits, copper, and fiber optic lines, and all necessary equipment/materials for the project</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Prepares detailed construction drawings, cost analysis (materials and labor costs) for approval</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate with permitting authorities to obtain necessary approvals</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Prepares unit tabulations needed and coordinates ordering of materials and equipment</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Involved with internal construction crews and contractors in the construction phase of the project to ensure conformance to all engineering specifications and construction methods meet all standards and company expectations</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Providing excellent customer service by following the company’s customer service standards. Ownership, Professionalism, Troubleshooting, keeping customers informed, and providing customers with an experience beyond their expectations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Minimal overnight travel may be required for this position</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Supervisor Responsibilities: None</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Competencies:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Basic understanding of fiber optics, copper networks, and OSP infrastructure</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to read and interpret construction drawings</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Basic understanding of communication cable counts (fiber optic and copper) is preferred</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS software (preferred)</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Proficient in mathematical skills</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong communication and problem-solving skills</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to interpret/edit CAD and Google Earth based mapping systems</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to communicate with customers, employees, contractors, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to pay close attention to detail</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to create a team environment and sustain employee morale</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Physical and Mental Requirements:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Occasionally lifting to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, standing, walking, gripping, etc.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Analyze situations and determine the best course of action</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Certification/License Requirements:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Current drivers license</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Work Environment:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This position requires being inside an office and outside</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Exposed to extreme temperatures</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Works around construction equipment</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Education:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Telecommunications preferred (or equivalent experience).</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This position is Safety Sensitive under the Oklahoma medical marijuana law</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management based on the needs of the business.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be eligible to work in the United States.</span></p>",
