          "text": "<p><strong>Location:&#xa0;</strong>Must be able to work in a Wabtec hub location.</p><p><strong>Who will you be working with?</strong></p><p>You will join Wabtec’s Digital Technology team in one of our hub locations, reporting to Vice President of DI, Database &amp; Enterprise Tools. This team is responsible for delivering mission-critical database and Oracle EBS solutions.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>How will you make a difference?</strong></p><p>Wabtec is seeking a skilled and motivated <strong>Senior Oracle DBA</strong> to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll help power the global delivery of manufacturing solutions by ensuring our database environments are secure, high-performing, and highly available. You’ll be a key contributor to technical and business teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings creative problem-solving to the table, and leverages deep technical expertise to support mission-critical systems. If you're passionate about database architecture and enjoy working with cross-functional teams, this is the opportunity for you.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What do we want to know about you?</strong></p><p><strong>You must have:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience</li><li>10+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise Oracle environments (12c or higher)</li><li>Expertise in Oracle 19c administration and related tools</li><li>Proven experience implementing Oracle 19c GRID/RAC architecture on RedHat Enterprise Linux</li><li>Proficiency in SSH/KSH/BASH scripting</li><li>Advanced Data Guard expertise (switchover and debugging)</li><li>Experience with cloud environment technologies, preferably AWS, OCI</li><li>Knowledge of Oracle security best practices and patching methodologies</li><li>Strong understanding of Oracle tuning and operational support best practices</li><li>Operations mindset - understanding, implementation, and operation of ITSM at scale</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What will your typical day look like?</strong></p><p>• Install, upgrade, configure, tune, debug, and patch all components of the Oracle 19c technology stack, including Oracle GRID, ASM, Clusterware, and database instances</p><p>• Install, upgrade, configure, tune, and debug all aspects of Oracle DataGuard</p><p>• Monitor and tune Cloud databases and components</p><p>• Monitor, patch, tune and debug Oracle EBS</p><p>• Monitor database performance, space utilization, identify potential problems and ensure database availability</p><p>• Install, upgrade, configure, and patch Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c</p><p>• Install, upgrade, configure, and patch Oracle pluggable database configurations using 19c</p><p>• Designs, implements, and maintains database and database infrastructure security</p><p>• Provide evaluation, architecture, and integration skills to support COTS and/or developed products within the Oracle database framework</p><p>• Implement architected HA/DR solutions to ensure application availability</p><p>• Identify and develop automation of repetitive processes to minimize errors and maximize service delivery using Linux scripting, SQL, PL/SQL and cron jobs</p><p>• Interface and communicate effectively across various support teams and with senior management</p><p>• Support 24/7/365 applications based in local data centers, the cloud (AWS &amp; OCI)</p><p>• Research technology, support business requirements, propose changes, and develop migration and implementation</p><p>• Manage the general contractor DBA team to ensure they follow standards and meet SLAs</p><p>• Manage ticketing and incidents in ServiceNow to ensure SLAs are met or exceeded</p><p>• Other duties as assigned</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What about the physical demands of the job?</strong></p><p>• Frequently communicating with others to exchange information</p><p>• Frequently remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods</p><p>• Frequently repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers</p><p>• Frequently assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><p>• The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment</p><p>• Minimal travel requirements: most work can be accomplished via conference and video calls, team chats, etc.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>Not eligible for relocation assistance.</p>",
