    "description": "<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Title: </strong>Ambulatory Medical Surgery Unit (AMSU) Outpatient RN</p>\n<p><strong>Location</strong>:<em> Miami VA Medical Center: 1201 NW 16th St, Miami, FL 33125</em></p>\n<p><strong>Period of Performance:</strong> 08/12/2025 – 08/11/2030</p>\n<p><strong>Shift Schedule:</strong> 11:30am-8:00pm (8-hr) or 9:30am-8:00pm (10-hr); weekends and holidays, as required by the unit.</p>\n<h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p><u>Unit:</u>  Ambulatory Medical Surgery Unit (AMSU) outpatient unit</p>\n<p><u>Skills</u>: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Incumbent will provide pre-operative/pre-procedure, post-operative/post-procedure nursing care to Veterans who will undergo or have undergone moderate sedation and/or anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures. (Operating Room, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Pulmonary Lab, CT/MRI (pre and post hydration), GI Suites, Interventional Radiology, and the Pain Clinic). </li>\n <li>Conduct daily post-operative/post-procedure follow-up phone calls. </li>\n <li>Provide additional coverage for the Urology Clinic, Pain Clinic, Wound Care and the Pre-anesthesia Clinic.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license from any state in the United States.</li>\n <li>Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificates accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).</li>\n <li>Experience: At least three (3) years nursing experience, including experience with outpatient or ambulatory surgery.</li>\n <li>Education: ASN accepted; BSN preferred. </li>\n <li>Education must have been completed at a school accredited by the ACEN or CCNE.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Aptive</h2>\n<p>Aptive is a modern federal consulting firm focused on human experience, digital services, and business transformation.
