Overtime required as needed.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This shift will support the factory and aid to work/life balance.</p>\n<p><strong>Where is this opportunity located? </strong> </p>\n<p>This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota in our High School, Park, and Recreation (HSPR) Manufacturing department.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What will the work look like for me?</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Front-line of support for day-to-day production operations.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Support areas of metal machine operation and other areas within final assembly.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Respond to escalated production issues for assessment/diagnosis/resolution, escalating to next level process expert and production leadership as needed.</li>\n <li>Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of product and equipment, assembly tools, fixtures, and jigs. </li>\n <li>Assist with documentation of operation setup and maintenance procedures.</li>\n <li>Assist in line setup and changeovers, including line/workstation layout, tooling/equipment/fixturing, materials presentation, and refresher training to operators.</li>\n <li>Review and respond to Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Review product Bill of Materials (BOM) and/or drawing to address ECOs.</li>\n <li>Assist Manufacturing Engineers and Production Leadership in improving current processes and developing new processes.</li>\n <li>Learn various software and programming systems; programming will include both off-line programming and adjustments on the line.</li>\n <li>Participate in team and individual problem-solving activities.</li>\n <li>Perform other tasks assigned as needed to fulfill customer demand and continuously improve.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>To be considered for the Process Technician position, we require the following:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two-year Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, Robotics, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a similar technical field is required.</li>\n <li>Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours, including scheduled overtime. </li>\n <li>Consistently complete quality work in a timely manner.   </li>\n <li>Good communication skills.</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn and capable of learning quickly. \n  <ul>\n   <li>Learnings may include various software, industrial hardware control, and programming systems.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Willingness to receive feedback and make changes.  </li>\n <li>Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team and interact with a variety of personnel in a positive, professional manner. </li>\n <li>Ability to work with minimum supervision, effectively exercising discretion and independent judgment.</li>\n <li>Ability to use hand tools to work on basic assembly and wiring of tooling and fixtures. </li>\n <li>Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, electrostatic discharge wear, and others as determined necessary by Daktronics Risk and Safety Department. You will be provided the PPE for the required areas. </li>\n <li>Physical requirements include the ability to: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Work in an environment with these types of smells: paint, solvent, and solder. </li>\n   <li>Move materials weighing up to 45 lbs. </li>\n   <li>Remain in a stationary position for the full shift with planned breaks.</li>\n   <li>Work from heights, including working from ladders and platforms. </li>\n   <li>Have full range of motion (including but not limited to bending and lifting).    </li>\n   <li>Reach in all directions (up, down, side-to-side, and diagonal reaching), including awkward positions.</li>\n   <li>Maintain steady hand/eye coordination. </li>\n   <li>Identify wire and paint colors. </li>\n   <li>Read fine print.  </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment.
